22 costume changes, props, skits and groovy tunes. Indie rock’s favorite fearless freaks of Montreal unleashed a theater-rock extravaganza in support of their latest release, False Priest.
Fish-headed ETs seemingly walking on spindly metal legs, dancing fire demons, pig-faced creatures simulating acts of sexual intercourse and silver-clad beings with spades for hands – yes, things got weird. With all these scattered performers, plus the eight musicians on stage, it was difficult to keep up with all the action. I opted to mainly focus on frontman Kevin Barnes as he scampered around the stage.
My exposure was 1/250 and f/2.8 at ISO 3200.
